9 Common Things That Are About 3.50 Meters (m) Long

1. 4 Guitars

Guitars

When it comes to guitars, there are different types and brands, and they all have varying lengths. The average guitar is around 0.9 meters long (which is about 38 inches for my friends who prefer imperial units).

But if you were to line up four guitars side by side, they would measure about 3.6 meters long, which is close to 3.5 meters.

2. 3 Ice Hockey Stick

Ice Hockey Stick

The most common size for adult hockey sticks is 0.9271 meters or 36.5 inches long. This length is perfect for hitting the puck across the rink, which is about 109 meters long.

However, some sticks measure 38.5 inches long, which is just a bit longer than the average size. If you put three of these sticks side by side, you’ll get a total length of 3.5 meters.

3. 3 Golf Stick

Golf Stick

The average length of a golf club is usually around 43 to 45 inches, which is about 1.15 meters. This size is perfect for driving golf balls around 220 yards, or roughly 200 meters. However, there are also shorter clubs that measure around 34 to 40 inches or longer clubs that measure around 40 to 43 inches.

If you lay out three golf clubs horizontally on the floor, they would measure approximately 3.45 meters, almost equal to 3.5 meters.

4. Fishing Rod

Fishing Rod

The length of a fishing rod can determine how far you can cast your line and how much control you have over your bait.

The most common size for fishing rods is usually between 3.5 to 4.5 meters (12 to 14 feet), which is perfect for freshwater fishing.

However, you may need a longer rod if you’re into big game fishing or want to cast your line out further into the ocean.

Did you know that the longest fishing rod ever created was by Schweizerischer, which measured a whopping 22 to 45 meters (73 ft.)? That’s crazy! But, of course, the length of the rod will depend on what type of fishing you’re doing and where you’re doing it.

5. Basketball Hoop

Basketball Hoop

A standard basketball hoop measures 18 inches in diameter and is mounted 10 feet high on a backboard. The backboard is typically rectangular, measuring 72 inches wide by 42 inches tall.

However, did you know that basketball hoops come in different sizes too? FIBA, the international basketball federation, allows basketball hoops to be 3.50 meters high for official games.

That’s about 11 feet and 6 inches! This is because the game is played at a different level of competition and requires a different challenge.

6. Asian Elephant

Asian Elephant

Asian elephants can stand up to 2.75 meters tall and weigh up to 5,500 kilograms. In terms of length, they can reach up to 6.4 meters from their trunk to the tip of their tail.

But did you know that their trunks alone can measure up to 3.50 meters long? That’s longer than the average height of a human!

Their trunks are also incredibly versatile, serving as a nose and a hand. And when it comes to their shape, Asian elephants are easily recognizable with their large, curved tusks and wrinkled, gray skin.

7. Polar Bear

Polar Bear

Adult male polar bears can measure up to 3.50 meters in length and weigh as much as 600 kilograms. Females are slightly smaller but still impressive in size. On average, they measure around 2.6 meters in length and weigh about 300 kilograms.

Basketball hoops are typically set at a height of 3.5 meters (10 feet) above the ground level, featuring an 18-inch rim diameter and a tempered glass background surface. In addition, the net used for basketballs typically measures 0.75 meters (30 inches) in diameter, making it an ideal fit for the standard hoop height.

9. Ladder

Ladder

Ladders come in all shapes and sizes to accommodate different tasks and heights. Some are straight, while others are adjustable or even foldable. The size of a ladder is determined by its length, which is usually measured in feet or meters.
